El Capitan

El Capitan is the best known of John Philip Sousa’s fifteen operettas. The operetta concludes with this march and in 1899 Sousa increased his band to over a hundred musicians and featured this work in a victory parade for Admiral Dewey and his returning Spanish-American war veterans.
