Saturday, June 10, 2023. Have an outing in Boston shopping, eating, enjoying the city, and listening to some of New England's finest wind ensembles! MetWinds hosts its thirty-third annual Boston Festival of Bands. Hear many talented bands performing throughout the day in the heart of Faneuil Hall near Boston Harbor. Admission is free.

Boston Festival of Bands

Concord Band Performing in 2016 at historic Faneuil Hall for the Boston Festival of Bands.
The Concord Band, New England's premiere recipient of the Sudler Silver Scroll Award, will perform at 31st annual Boston Festival of Bands. The festival, hosted by The Metropolitan Wind Symphony—MetWinds, will be held at Faneuil Hall, adjacent to Quincy Market in Boston, on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free to the public.

Spend the second Saturday in June downtown shopping, eating, enjoying the city, and listening to some of the area's finest wind ensembles. Enjoy the many talented bands performing throughout the day in the heart of Faneuil Hall near Boston Harbor. There will be music to please all tastes. The bands will perform selections ranging from Broadway show music to Sousa marches to classical.

Concord Band Invited to Perform at Boston Festival of Bands

The Concord Band is thrilled to have been invited to participate in the day-long 29th annual Boston Festival of Bands, featuring performances, on the hour, by seven of the finest community concert bands from all around New England, on Saturday, June 10, 2017. The prestigious Festival, hosted by the Metropolitan Wind Symphony, features seven bands who will play from 11 AM through 6 PM in the Great Hall of historic Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston,

The day-long event, presenting the most exciting pieces for concert bands, is free. This year's ensembles include:
  • Randolph Community Band, based in Randolph, MA
  • Classic Brass, Southern Connecticut
  • Casco Bay Wind Symphony, Gorham, ME
  • Concord Band, Concord, MA
  • Metropolitan Wind Symphony, Boston, MA (celebrating Lewis Buckley's 10th anniversary as music director of the Met Winds)
  • Middlesex Concert Band, Wakefield, MA
  • Rhode Island Wind Ensemble, Providence, RI
This is the 20th time that The Concord Band has been invited to perfor! The performance time for The Concord Band is 12 noon until 1 PM.

Boston Festival of Bands

The Concord Band will be one of seven concert bands from New England and Canada taking part in the 28th annual Boston Festival of Bands, a day-long celebration of the best in symphonic concert band music. The festival will be held in the Great Hall of historic Faneuil Hall in Boston on Saturday, June 11, 2016. This annual event, hosted by the Metropolitan Wind Symphony, is free to the public. This will be the Concord Band's nineteenth appearance at this prestigious festival.

The Concord Band is thrilled to announce that guest artist John Ferrillo, principal oboist of The Boston Symphony Orchestra, will be joining us for the second time this season. He previously performed with the Band at its 2015 Holiday Pops Concerts. Mr Ferrillo said that he enjoyed the experience so much that he immediately replied "Yes" when Music Director James O'Dell invited him to perform with us at the 2016 Boston Festival of Bands.

The Concord Band will perform at 2:00 PM.
